Hi, back again, this week I would like to talk about a new idea of installing an end table in a couch arm rest. This system will only work in contemporary squarish end arm rests. It would not work on classical round arm type sofas.

This idea is something that would happen at the couches manufacturing stage. If the trend for downsizes dwelling spaces continues, the next phase will be to make certain pieces of furniture wall mounted or multi-functional.

Basically furniture available when needed, so it is not taking up space, interrupting natural traffic patterns in the home. IE, side tables next to a couch.

So is this a good idea or not? To have a fold up table mounted in the arm rest on a couch to be lifted up to its working position, same as a wall mounted table.

Beats holding a glass of wine on your lap.
